A Case of Gastric Lipoma Associated with Hematemesis

Abstract

|
Gastric lipomas are rare tumors and constitute approximately 3% of all benign gastric heoplasms. They may present as upper gastrointestinal bleeding, abdominal pain, obstruction or dyspepsia. The diagnosis and treatment of them is important
because
they
are often accompanied by massive gastrointestinal bleeding and may simulate malignancy. In children, they are extremely rare tumors and only 2 cases have been reported in the world. Herein, we report a case of gastric lipoma accompanied with
hematemesis
in a 13-year-old male patient and we also reviewed the literature.
